The audit log

Every change in the workspace with who made it and what it was before, plus sign-ins, billing and support visits. Filter it and export it, on Business.

On Business and Enterprise, admins open Workspace settings → Audit log. Newest entries come first.

What it records

  • Every change in the workspace (tickets, comments, projects, documentation, members, settings) with who made it, whether it came through the app, an agent or the server, and what each field was before and after.
  • Sign-ins, password changes and reset requests, with time, method and IP address. They appear within about an hour.
  • Billing: subscription and invoice changes, shown as made by “Stripe”.
  • Support: access granted and ended, and every page support opened, shown as “NEWWORK support”.
  • Exports of the log itself.

Secrets such as tokens and API keys are left out, including the fact that one changed. Changes an agent made over MCP carry the name of the person whose token it used.

Filter, search and export

Filter by category (security and access, content, billing, support), by person and by dates, or search: a ticket key such as PAY-142 finds the ticket and everything on it. The export downloads what the filters show as CSV, up to 10,000 entries.

How long entries are kept

A year on Business and Enterprise. Other plans keep entries for 90 days without showing them, so after an upgrade the log already holds the last three months.

Nobody can change or delete an entry, our staff included. Entries go when they are past that time or when the workspace is deleted.
