Getting started
Create a workspace, bring your team, write the first brief and hand it to an agent, in about ten minutes.
1. Create a workspace
Sign up with your email, a magic link, Google or Microsoft. The onboarding asks for a workspace name and address, and offers a start:
- An example project with sample briefs, so you can see readiness and checks before you write your own.
- An empty product or project. Products are for ongoing work with a backlog and sprints; projects are for work with an end, a budget or a client.
- A Jira import, see Import from Jira or CSV.
Every step after the workspace can be skipped and done later.
2. Invite your team
Invite people by email from the onboarding or from Workspace settings → Members. Members can be owners, admins or members. Clients and other outsiders join as guests: they are free on every plan and only see what they are invited to.
3. Write the first brief
Open a ticket, add a title and a few rough notes, and choose Write with Nova. It returns a brief: intent, context, behaviour, constraints and acceptance checks. Anything your notes don’t say becomes an assumption to keep or strike, or an open question.
Answer the questions and the readiness score climbs to 100: Ready for agent. See Briefs, checks and readiness for what counts.
4. Connect an agent
Create a personal token under Workspace settings → Agents & MCP and add NEWWORK Projects to your coding agent. Connect your agent has the setup for Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, VS Code and any other MCP client. Then ask the agent:
Pick up my next ready ticket in NEWWORK Projects and build it.
It reads the brief, starts the ticket, ticks each check with the pull request or test that proves it, and moves it to review.
5. Connect your code
Admins connect GitHub or Bitbucket under Workspace settings → Integrations (Pro and above). Pull requests that mention a ticket key, such as CHK-142, in the branch, title or description are linked to the ticket: opening one moves the ticket to review, merging the last one moves it to done. Agents can also link a pull request with pm-pr-link on every plan.
